
Feijoa
Sometimes
referred to as the pineapple guava, the feijoa is oval in shape
with a dark green skin and a creamy-white, crunchy-smooth flesh.
Feijoas have a most agreeable pineapple-strawberry flavor and a
very exotic, pleasant aroma.
Like guavas, feijoa fruit contain good quantities of vitamin C.
Fruit are eaten fresh by themselves, or served with ice cream or
fruit salad. Juice from the fruit is best when blended with other
fruit juices.
