Horned Melon

The Horned Melon is a member of the cucumber, it looks like an oval melon with horns and is very decorative. Picked green, ripened orange, the it tastes like a mix of lemon and banana. It is a tropical fruit so it should not be stored in the refrigerator.The melon has a gorgeous orange rind with spikes -The yellow-green flesh has the consistency of jello, and tastes a bit like cucumbers.
Use: Can be used as an ornamental fruit or squeeze the melon to add a zesty pick up to smoothies and fruit drinks.
